Every year, usually a day or two prior to Valentine’s Day, I beat the mad rush and make my floral order at least one day in advance – like any good husband does, of course. The person on the phone usually isn’t rushed and usually takes their time and offers suggestions. I take a few moments, reflect, and imagine what the arrangement may look like sitting on top of a table. Is it too meek? Too overwhelming? You know.. like any good husband does. Well, after the visualization exercise, I plug in the good ‘ol credit card and away it goes.

Oh cool.  Just to let people know – I’ve gotten back into music somewhat again.  A very different experience as compared to the past where I preferred playing hard rock guitar.  I’m a bit more into music production and singing these days instead.  Still play a little guitar, but it’s more from the perspective of an accompaniment instrument in a song, rather that it being the focal point.

I’ve taken prisoners along as well – Elizabeth and Megan.  The picture above is of Elizabeth’s first CD where she sings some popular classic Vietnamese ballads.  (more…)

I’m having a difficult time trying to get over this cold.  There is so much I’d rather do.  I guess that’s how things are.  For the past couple of days, I’ve had this nasty cough – like a chest cold or something.  I could be fine for a couple of hours and suddenly, I’m crippled hacking my head off.  People near me don’t know what to think.  I’ve also been hauling around this pack of Hall’s cough drops and popping them like candy as though they would seem to help.
