Leonard Cohen – Hallelujah – a unique acoustic cover

Here’s a rendition of the ever-popular Hallelujah written by Leonard Cohen in 1984. I’ve always been so inspired and in awe of this song. It has a very simplistic nature on the surface, but its a very emotionally complex. Anyhow, I haven’t done this in a while.. so be kind! Show the love. 🙂

Sound Check (Cubase LE4) & Camera Test (Canon EOS T2i 550D)

Testing out the Canon EOS T2i (550D) camera and recording acoustic guitar through a condensor mic: – AKG Perception 200 – ART Tube MP Preamp – Presonus Firebox – Cubase LE4 – Canon EOS T2i (550D) – Canon EF Lens – 50 mm – F/1.8 (using F/7 in natural lighting) Music – I sort of winged it and its a little mashup of songs I’ve known over the years. I’m not sure if they are “technically correct”, but anyhow… I think its a mashup of some Led Zeppelin tunes of sorts.

The Scientist – an Unique Acoustic Cover

This is an acoustic cover of a song called “The Scientist” written by Coldplay. Ran into Murphy’s Law while trying to record this song finding both audio and video failing on their own schedules. Editing offered its own challenges (wound up having to reinstall the software) – guess this stuff happens if one lets things go too long. Special thanks to Meggie (who wanted to graciously be in the video) and JuJu (who I carried into the video). 🙂 BTW – my hair is lovely (I know). This is what happens after one rips sweaty headphones off their heads after several takes only to find that the computer crashed midway. …And also, what a $10 haircut looks like after 3 weeks. 🙂

This is an acoustic medley cover of U2’s song Bad. The song is composed of 3 acoustic tracks, and 2 vox tracks. U2 is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite songs of theirs. This song is fairly long and this video, although being 4 and a half minutes, really is an abridged version of this song.
