couple friends from college told me this story about themselves.  Marc Donovan and Dana Hicks used to live in Ellingson Hall at Rochester Institute of Technology.  Ellingson has eleven stories and two elevators and stairwells to the side.  They lived on the top floor.

They used to order pizza from Domino’s and their policy at the time was that the customer would receive their pizza in a half hour or less, or the pizza was free.  When twenty-five minutes has passed, Marc and Dana looked out the window and spotted the Domino’s pizza delivery person sprinting across the courtyard.  It was at this moment when they darted out the room and down the hall toward the elevators.  They would call both elevators and hold them at the eleventh floor for five minutes, release them, and retreat back to their room.

If they timed it just right, the delivery person would arrive a minute later at their door, huffing and puffing from running up the stairs, and of course, a minute too late, with free-pizza-in-hand.
