Jokes in my Head

I enjoy laughter. I have found that laughter is probably one of the few times where one can think of nothing else, but what is at hand. The only other time that I can think of which has a similar effect is sneezing.

I have also found that my sense of humor and wit are quite different from many others. This has been my experience through the years. In fact, it is probably the way I perceive things; kind of funny, kind of ironic. I think that the world would be a much funnier place if more ironic things were to happen.

Putting the irony and laughter together, one can gather that I enjoy funny ironic things. I am a true child of the seventies and eighties growing up with television as the main source of entertainment. Of course, my favorite types of television programs were Situation Comedies. And, one of the most ironic shows of the time was "Three's Company." Hail, hail, to Jack Tripper.

Sometimes, I notice that things sound different in my head, compared to when I speak it. I seriously think that something happens between the time I think something and when it passes through my lips. Which, by the way, is what gets me in ninety percent of my misfortunate incidents. Anyway, fortunately, I keep most of my funny ironic perceptions in my head. Once in a while one slips out and one of two things happen. One -- People laugh. I like this. Two -- People give me the deer-looking-into-headlights look. I do not like this. When I manage to keep the thought in my head without vocally spewing it forth, what usually happens is that I say nothing and I just sit there and laugh...I enjoy this.
