ompetition is the essence of business.  It helps drive and motivate higher quality products and services for consumers at an international scale.  This is wonderful and to some people this is delightful to witness. I remember when Burger King first started going after their share of the fast food market.  McDonald’s must have held the largest market share, because Burger King attacked them from all directions.  They even had a Burger King character; just like McDonald’s clown, Ronald McDonald.  I am not sure who was responsible for the advertising at the time, but I have a few things to say to him or her.

"I have two ideas in which I wish to convey to you.  First, I would like to congratulate you, because I know that the advertising was responsible for carving the way of success for Burger King Restaurants.  Second…I hope you flame broil in hell, because alike myself, at such an early impressionable age, McDonald’s seemed like a sanctuary for all kids.  The last thing that I wanted to witness, via the mass media, from an adult character dressed like a king, was that my sanctuary sucked.  Thank you for the memories of malicious business competition in action, where kids were the focal audience.  You have contributed to my nightmares where a large oversized orange king chased me with a burger.  And, oh yes, it was a flame broiled."
