Liz and I have returned from NYC for the holidays and today was the first day of work for me. I did not want to be there. Actually, I did not want to be back in Rochester either. I tried my best to persuade Liz to let us stay in NYC enduring a few pleading sessions; screw the house, job, school, responsibilities, well play gypsies oh, how romantic.
Realistically, its just very tempting to know that I could instantly increase my salary by three-hundred percent, live and breathe in the depths of diverse cultures and lifestyles, and... *poof*
< Nonetheless, we are back in Rochester >
Anyhow, the holidays went well in NYC We spent Christmas with my sister, Shirley, and her husband, Mike. We had the option of staying in or eating out. Alike Thanksgiving, we chose to eat out. We found this steak house located on 71st and Columbus and munched out for a couple of hours. Shirley had lobster, Mike had ribs, Liz had Filet Mignon, and I had the prime rib. We all enjoyed the food.
The following week was filled with fun-filled activities that I have yet to write about. Joyous times of bumming around and once in a while hanging out with old friends; meeting up with David Chan and Ronnie Rivera, watching a Latino rock band in Greenwich village, and witnessing the New Years ball drop hanging out with friends in Brooklyn, and eating tons of Asian food in Chinatown.
